 | Need for Recovering Exhaust Gas Heat
Boilers for heating or water-feed heating are equipped in apartment
complexes, hotels, hospitals, public baths, swimming pools and industrial
buildings. These facilities and buildings are heavily populated
in the large cities and industrial areas, where city gas or diesel
oils are commonly used for the boilersThe outlet temperature of
exhaust gas emitted from boiler ranges roughly 200 ~ 250 ¡ÆC, in
which a large volume of water steam gas is included.

With this high outlet temperature, the heat exchanger, attaining
to emit the outlet temperature of the exhaust gas between about
30~50 ¡ÆC, effective recovery of exhaust gas heat and latent heat
can be achieved, enabling the recovery rate to the maximum extent.
Installing heat exchanger can recover the gas heat and latent heat
              from the boiler exhaust gases,

        |   | and the fuel consumption can be reduced saving roughly 7~12% of fuel
expenses. As the fuel price is on the increase recently, the economics
of the exhaust gas waste heat recovery system of boiler becomes improving.
However, the rate of the heat exchanger is currently standing in low supply
quantities due to the low-temperature corrosion problems generated from
the acidic contents in the boiler exhaust gases. The oil fuel causes the
low-temperature corrosions when using oil for boiler fuels.

          | According to the report of the U.S. Battelle Research Institute,
in case of gas boilers, acidic gases are present in the exhaust
gases, which cause corrosions due to the accumulated acidic contents
              in normal heat exchangers.

 | This technology has been widely applied
to apartment complexes, hospitals, bathing pools and bathhouses,
and so on. As developed and localized in joint study with Korea
Institute of Energy Research and Hankuk Aviation University through
the multi-year efforts, the technology has far superior corrosion-resistant
good performance as the condensed type of waste heat recovery system.
This condensed type heat exchanger reduces fuel consumption that
can be used for various type boilers, reducing the expenses in importing
energies, and contributing to the prevention of earth warming phenomena.
The installation of the water floating layer type heat exchanger,
while accomplishing the reduction of boiler exhaust gases and recovering
the energy from boiler exhaust gas, will be a good approach for
your energy saving multi-purposes either in businesses or in households.
